Character Education - Character Building

Character education runs throughout the K12 curriculum at Best, with the "Character Building Center" in elementary school taking over from the “Habit Cultivation Center” in kindergarten and laying an important foundation for the in-depth issues explored with the "Holistic Education Center" in secondary school. The “Character Building Center” forms three main strands to promote character education: monthly theme, positive thinking, and student counseling.

Global Education

The International-Integrated Curriculum at Best Primary Schools incorporates the advantages of different countries and matches the learning characteristics of Chinese elementary school students who speak English as a second language. It encompasses both the learning of English language and the cultivation of world vision through its rich format and numerous activities. The teaching materials include the National Geographic Reach series from the U.S. and the Oxford Family & Friends series from the U.K. Through the study of verbal expression and grammar, children can build a solid language foundation. They can skillfully use English as a tool to learn about culture.

Interdisciplinary Education

Interdisciplinary teaching, in which teaching breaks the boundaries of a single subject, integrates knowledge from different fields and expands children’s learning scope, thus increasing knowledge. Children can broaden their vision and improve their practical skills to identify and solve problems. Among many examples, Food and Farm Education, and research and exploration are the most representative of interdisciplinary learning at the elementary school level.

Diversity in Education

In addition to the compulsory education curriculum, Best elementary schools organize rich extracurricular activities for children, such as competitions, theme events, festival activities, subject activities, institutional and school events, and clubs, so that children can try and explore more, achieve growths from different experiences, and cultivate interests.

Sharestart Education

Sharestart Method integrates the teaching of many subjects in elementary school, including Chinese and Mathematics. Sharestart is a learning method that allows children to actively engage in independent learning, thinking, and expressing. It is a teaching model where students become the main characters of learning while teachers act as facilitators, directors, and scriptwriters to guide students' thinking and discussions. The Sharestart classroom can stimulate children's interest in learning, increase their motivation to participate in class, and more importantly, develop their comprehensive strengths in thinking and problem solving.
